Photo/Video Requirements

This mock audition will be identical to the audition process of a professional dance company.

In order to receive the most meaningful feedback from the artistic directors, we recommend preparing materials that are comparable to an actual audition.


📷 Photo requirements
1. ONE headshot photo· High-resolution photo that clearly shows the dancer’s face.
·  Clean background 
·  Selfies are not allowed 
·  File type: .png, .jpg, .jpeg (PDF files X)
2. THREE Full-body shot photos· Mandatory poses (2 photos): Arabesque(Side), Développe(Front) 
· Optional pose (1 photo): Freestyle - A pose that can show off your physical attributes (Jump, point, turn-out, etc.)
· Attire: Tight, body-fitting attire that shows the body line clearly (Costumes X) 
-Female: Pointe shoes are mandatory for ballet mock audition / No shoe regulations for contemporary/modern mock auditions 
-Male: No shoe regulations for both ballet and contemporary/modern mock auditions

Place the camera directly in front of the dancer, at around eye-height

*Ensure that the dancer stays within the frame while dancing

Room setup

A bright, well-lit dance studio 

*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lack of dance studio availability, videos may also be filmed outdoors, or in any other safe and suitable environment.


👚 Attire
FEMALEBallet barre + centre work
· Tight, body-fitting attire: Leotard & tights of any color
·Wrap skirts are allowed (Must not cover more than half of the thighs)

· Dance shorts are not allowed 

· Attire should show the dancer’s body lines clearly 

· Ballet: Pointe shoes are mandatory (Skin-tone or pink colored)

· Contemporary/Modern: Socks or barefoot 

Solo piece
· Any costume that fits the choreography concept

· Ballet: Pointe shoes are mandatory

· Contemporary/Modern: Socks or barefoot 

Company assignment
· Leotard & tights of any color 
· Pointe shoes / soft shoes / socks according to the assignment given
MALEBallet barre + centre work
& Company assignment
· Leotard & tights of any color

· Shoes: Free of choice

Solo piece
· Any costume that fits the choreography concept

· Shoes: Free of choice 


Basic assignment - Complete BEFORE registration

Camera should be placed at the side of the barre (Diagonal angle X) 


Center: Around 3~5 minutes

Adagio / Pirouettes / Petite and Grand Allegro

▷ Record each move separately / Record in one take (Free format)

Ballet solo piece
(classical)

A repertoire not exceeding 2 minutes

※  Video submission method

1. Combine the above videos in order (Barre >> Center >> Solo piece ), edit it into ONE VIDEO.  The video should not exceed 13 minutes in total.

2. Upload the video on Youtube (Privacy may be set to “Unlisted”) 

3. [IMPORTANT] Leave a timestamp comment in your Youtube video.

CONTEMPORARY / MODERN
Ballet barre

▷ Show a combination of moves that you are confident with. However, it must also include the required moves listed below.

▷ All moves should be done and recorded separately. 

Contemporary/Modern 
solo piece 

A solo piece within 2~4 minutes

The video must be shot in a studio (or any equivalent space) and be of high resolution

※  Video submission method

1. Combine the above videos in order (Barre >> Center >> Solo piece ), edit it into ONE VIDEO.  The video should not exceed 13 minutes in total.

2. Upload the video on Youtube (Privacy may be set to “unlisted”) 

3. [IMPORTANT] Leave a timestamp in your Youtube video.

4. Attach the video link to the mock audition registration form

Company assignment - Complete AFTER registration

- Complete the assignment according to the guidelines (Company repertoire, improvisation, choreography, combination, etc.)

- Participants must complete the assignments and submit the video link within 7 days of receiving the email

※  Video submission method / Submit within 7 days of receiving the email

After completing your registration (material submission + payment), check your mailbox for an email about company assignments.

Complete and film the assignments. Then, upload the video on Youtube (Privacy may be set to “Unlisted”).

Submit your video link by email.

[Caution] If the video is not submitted within the specified period, the mock audition will carry out WITHOUT evaluation of company assignments
